As if getting the ticket Monday wasn't bad enough..

Tuesday morning I got to work and went to close my sunroof and on the left side as it came forward I heard a loud poping sound. I immediately got pissed and opened it back up and started looking around to see what the sound was. I couldn't find anything in the short ammount of time I had to look before I had to go in, but when I tried to close the sunroof the left side wouldn't come down and seal... I went to the shop that night to take it apart and look at it and I got the glass off and I noticed that the plastic bracket on the left side that makes the sunroof catch the arm to seal was broken. The only thing that popped into my mind to fix this was JB weld. It was my only shot.

Here's a pic of the runner and the broken piece...

Now, I'm mad enough as it is what with my bad car luck over the last 2 days(The ticket I got Monday https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...=134607&page=2 and now my sunroof is broken), but it seems someone has it out for me because while I was trying to fix the broken piece on the left the exact same piece on the right side f'ing broke!!! OMG!!. What are the shitty ass odds that both pieces on seperate side of the car would break on the same damn day?????? So after about 45 minutes of me on the left side, one of my friends on the right side and another friend in the car hitting the button we got it on track without the brackets and got it shut, but of course, if I open it, it won't close. So now I have to go to GM and order those pieces, which I'm sure I'm going to have to get the whole left and right track and arms because GM wouldn't sell those little ass pieces when they could sell the whole thing. Damnit..anyway, here's pictures of the right side...

Sorry they're all out of focus, I took those pics with my phone, but you get the point. I've been driving around all week wondering what's going to happen next haha.

p.s. - Oh yeah, when it rains really hard, my sun roof leaks now. Wonderful.

Sucks man, but things will get better. Or maybe not......i've been saying im gonna remove my door ding for over a year now. Still haven't gotten the door ding removed, but I HAVE since been hit, had my front bumper re-painted and its not starting to orange peel. But maybe your look will be better than mine.

Good luck

sorry, the 1.3 megapixles on my phone was the only thing i had available haha.

yeah..i mean, i guess with winter comming i'm not in that much of a hurry to get it fixed, but i'm still going to do it soon. i don't want to run the risk of ruining my interior if it decides to leak worse one day.

You will probably have to replace the entire track. That is what they had to do oon mine when it broke just like this. Luckily, I was still under warranty when it happened.
