im painting the interior of my 05 ss/sc where the gray has chipped (the strip above the glove box is and the raido section and where the fog lights and headlight dimmer buttons are ) ive taken the strip off above the glove box (thought it was gonna break) ...now i did the same on the drivers side to the left of the steering wheel now ive still got the buttons and cables connected ...i got the headlight dimmer button off now i cant get the fog light on unconnected from the back please help i want to sand and prime at least tn please hel[

 

ps im using victory red rustolium and rustolium plastic primer , duplicolor prep and wipe (to get rid of the dust sanding creates) 320grit sanding block and 800grit sanding paper

 

i just did it a few days ago, but cannot remember what i did, remember it was a bitch though, one of them you have to twist and push out the front of the trim, i used a small flathead screwdriver to lift the tabs

 

this^ use a small flathead and lift the tabs to push the block out of the trim piece

get creative with it!

 

It's a pain. I used an eye glasses screw driver to do the trick. Still wasn't even very easy.

 

I used my fingers... Not sure what the problem is you're having. Are you sure you can handle painting if you can't even undo a clip? lol!

 

lol no im not sure i can handle it ...i got it off i just didnt wanna break it ..well im done now everything now it looks beautiful will post pics ina few mins i still need to put the ss emblem on ...it looks amazing and not ghetto thank god ...you wouldnt even notice it wasnt factory unless u know cobalts interior
