my friend had bought 50# injectors from ZZP. We took the old 42# injectors out and replaced them with the 50. Now when the car is started it reves up from 1000 rpm to 2000 rpm. its also makin a popping sounds that seems to be coming from the injectors. we are not sure whats cuaseing this idle problem since there is no ecu programing needed for the new injectors says ZZP. So in info would be helpful.

I would assume a retune would be in order for the 50s.. but zzp said.. Not sure.
Maybe they're not seated correctly?

The "clicking" Is probably the valves in the injectors operating normally. My Simmons 60lb ones do that to some extent.

 

Mine seems to be doing this too, but when they say your injectors need to be reflashed, doesn't zzp do that when they ask you to send your core in? How important is the dielectric grease and the brake cleaner when installing them? I didn't do either... hope its ok.

 

Take them out grease them and then u will have peace of mind.

 

Will that get rid of the check engine light too?

 

Honestly have no clue, it would mainly depend on what cel u have.
