So where are you going to get these crates and stand alones? what kind of stand alone? There is no way you are getting a brand new lnf for near 2 grand with a stand alone unless it's stolen. Now if it was plucked out with low mileage that's a different story, but new i'm not buying it. Of course I could be proven wrong.

I'd drop the LNF into a 240.. S15 front clip on an S13 hatch body with the Solstice GXP's 5 speed.

you confuse me. you linked to the $3.5k crate LNF. The standalone would bring it to over the suggested $4k, but you make it sound like its going to be $8k or something.

with your usual stand alone you are going to get to ~4500-5k with the crate I showed. Then you have to talk about shipping. I just don't see it happening for under 4k unless the crate engine itself is like 2k. Like I said I could be proven wrong, but I haven't seen anything yet. That is just an EXTREMELY low price.

And when they give a 2k range it means they were told this by someone else or it's a rumor...so i'll wait until I see info.

agreed.
and cake, im not saying you can get it all for $4k. I agree with you that it will be more, but im just saying it wont be a whole lot more. $5-$5.5k is my guess. To me it just sounds like your building it up to be an $8k package. thats all

correct. At least thats true with the LSJ. Not positive about the LNF, as the site says "does not include supercharger", though i think its a safe bet they meant to say turbo. Course it shouldnt be too hard to find a stock K04 on here. There are a few who have already done turbo swaps, and as soon as the fuel issue is resolved, i know there will be a LOT of turbo swapped LNFs

Hmmm I wonder why GM don't offer the Ecotec engines with a standalone EMS. I bet if they did they would sell quite a few.
