What're you gonna drive even now.. I see you're in A2 and its still cold af in MI
Get the car, bikes are toys.
Mutual acquaintance just got killed in a bike accident earlier this week.

If you are gonna get a bike get a real bike, not some overgrown moped of a 300.
Bikes kill people, cars might save your life. EVERYONE lays a bike down learning to ride, some take longer than others, but that one crash could kill you. A car crash most likely wont.
Bikes are summer only and poor daily's.

Get the car man. If this is your only means of transportation by all means get the car. If you're looking for a toy get a bike, but by god don't get a 300. I have an r6. It is some of the most fun I've ever had. I've driven cars that will outrun it, and still nothing compares. And to m33, hell its more than just when learning. I've been down twice seriously. Once in the beginning, and once when I was very experienced on a road I knew like the back of my hand. There are so many factors. It takes a while to learn, but the road isn't a track, there are a ton of different variables, and only one going wrong can put you in the hospital trust me OP. If you're good with the fact that you'll go down and you'll get hurt then get it. They're a blast. Just food for thought. By the way, road rash SUCKS
I would say get the car. I first started out with a 2013 ninja 250r and within the next month I sold it and upgraded to a gsxr 600. It was the best move I ever made. (Other then moving up from a saturn ion to a cobalt ss tc (: ) but Unfortunely my gsxr was stolen on Tuesday which ******* blows.
I vote cobalt ss, that's just my input I mean I'd love to get a bike but it's other people on the rode I don't trust no offense to anyone. When driving on the highway it's so crazy how many ppl don't pay attention while driving it's actually quit scary
You have no idea what you are talking about, half the people in this thread saying "get a real bike" prolly have never riden on the street in their life and are saying that because they see squids fly down the highway on zx14s and Hayabusa's that have never hit a corner in their life. If you are a new rider and don't choose the right bike it can and will kill you. A ninja 300 is way more forgiving for a new rider, make the same mistake on a new age 600 and the possibility of going down greatly increases. If you are a new rider with no past motorcycle experience get the 300, when your skills increase sell and upgrade. In the long run you will become a better rider.
it doesn't matter if you're on a 250 or a busa, anything can happen anywhere at any time, whether it's because you're goofing around or someone else isn't paying attention. since i've been riding i've become a better driver as well because ive learned to be able to sense different situations and react towards that. yes there are 2 types of riders, the ones that been down and the ones that are going down, accidents happen but just because you go down doesn't mean you're going to die. i myself know for a fact i'm more careful and aware of my surroundings when on my bike, i don't trust anybody, but that doesn't mean i won't do something i love. now when it comes down to "size" if you've never ridden anything in your life i'd suggest the 300 to get some seat time, if you've ridden dirt bikes or quads then i'd say go 600. but regardless of size i'd really recommend taking a Basic Rider Course or getting an older bike... i started with my '79 honda 400 for my first year, then bought my '12 Yamaha last year
No it's not, but if you are an inexperienced rider those chances will significantly increase the bigger you go. There is a reason most insurance companies (at least here) put cc restrictions on learners.
It's the same thing with cars. Give a 16 year old kid a Cavalier or give him a Corvette. Corvette increases chances of an issue significantly.
OP there is no shame on learning the ropes on a 300 and trading up once you are comfortable and have more experience.

I had this choice too, SS/SC or 636. I went with the car. I dont regret it because I got to sell my 08 Rolla daily that I HATED with a passion...
