no way man....res quiets it down, i like loud. I've never had a prob runnin straight pipes to a muffler before, don't know why this would be any diff.

 

well if you like loud then keep your marble sounding exhaust set up. like some of us said, use a resonator and it will take away most of the rasp but you will still have the exhaust note your looking for... the ss/tc's can run straight pipe and sound beast because of the turbo acting as a second muffler so to say, anyways we dont have that luxury so to escape the rasp a resonator and a high quality muffler is required and like many say, magnaflow puts out some good stuff for our cars......try it
