New Clutch
My cobalt was driving like **** today and I brought it to the shop where they told me I need a new clutch...guy said it will cost 1500...is this true?

Car is an 05 Cobalt SS/SC with 52k miles

our clutches are poop but 1500 seems a bit steep to me. maybe 1000 to 1200?

GM clutch upgrade is one of the best for the price.

It's only $260 so add labor to that.

depending on his mods (im assuming he is stock) he shouldnt need anything heavy duty. i tink blackg85ss has a stock clutch for 100$ for sale right now with only 9k on it.

I don't know how hard the clutch install is, but you might find a member that can do it for a lot less.

Yeah it shouldn't ever take them more than an 8 hr day. That means they are trying to charge $110 an hour. I think not.
