Why?? When you can get there faster in a Cobalt, nicer looking, and they aren't bad on fuel nor all that uncomfortable. I have Recaros and have driven for hours on end and LOVE it. Traffic sucks while drivin stick once in awhile though, but I don't deal with it enough that I would get rid of my car.

It's official that the SS/SC is discontinued after '07, and the 2.4SS is getting renamed the "sport" model. I believe they are going to release a turbo SS mid '08 or '09, but I'm not sure if that's official or not.

I work for a Pharma company here in NJ. Pay is OK (as long as I'm not driving my 16 mpg Ranger) but I'm sticking it out for the benefits more than anything. Unfortunately I live in Toms River where my wife's 80+ year old parents live and she won't move away from them... I'm all set to head for PA once I get the green light tho...

Funny thing, I was all set to buy an Si but my boss bought an '06 Cobalt and talked me into looking at them, which I did. The only mistake I made was test driving the SC... That test drive cost me about 4k but in hind sight it was a well spent 4k...

The only thing I'd say for a redesign is make it a damn liftback like the TC. Stop it with this stupid little dinky ass trunk thing.

15 years (15,000 miles) = 225,000 miles.

I think our Cobalts will blow up at 115,000 miles

any car now a days will last you at least 300,000 miles if taken good care.

most ppl dont know **** about cars. putting in premium gas and getting regular oil changes with synthetic or even semi synthetic really helps. its also good to make sure fluids are topped up.

if you think a cobalt will only last 115,000 then u need to take better care of it

I don't even realize I am driving a stick anymore... I have been driving stick for, hmmm over 25 years (yeah I know how old I am )
I have been in 2+hour commute and it doesn't even phase me,
it's second nature (kinda like breathing)
