new to the cobalt community

Hey guys, I am new to the cobalt community and had a few questions. My previous car was a 95 Mustang with a 302 V8 intake/full exhaust, but due to gas prices and high cost of repairs I decided to buy another vehicle. I got a great deal on my cobalt 06 4door LT 2.2L I4, only problem is I feel like I need more power. I was thinking of doing the usually mods, chip/exhaust/intake my only problem is that now I no longer feel like having a car that you can hear from a mile away. Could you guys please help, I am looking for a few reasonably priced mods that would give me more power and better torque. The only requirement I have is that any mod I do put on my car dose not make it sound like a pissed off bumble bee.

Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the site!

Get the GM Performance Touring exhaust. It has a nice low rumble to it, but its not loud at all. Even the performance exhaust isn't TOO loud. I'd say those 2 are your best bet, because aftermarket exhaust is going to be loud.

well coming from a nice v8 to a small economy i4, you probably won't be happy with the exhaust tones.

only real way to make power is to go forced induction, or spend a shitload of money and stay na and not make much power. full bolt ons will MAYBE give you 10-12hp
