hey celica-GT I come from the same engine family as you-vibe GT/toyota matrix, as we used to say"got lift" anyways welcome to the site,if you are looking at the ss/sc for your wife and want to save a few bucks check out the G5 GT or cobaltss/na they are fun cars also

 

are you going with turbonetics or hass turbo???

buy the SS S/C otherwise in 3 months you will join the 2.2 crowd "why cant they make parts for our cars i want power"

spend the extra get the s/c or wait until 08 it might be turbo

i'm going with the hass 2zz turbo kit.. but i'm not getting the water injection with it. i'll be pushing only 6psi but that's plenty for me right now. later i will get the 8.8:1 pistons, darton wet sleeves, crower rods and see how far i can take that without using methanol but if it comes down to it i will get it and boost up to 22-25psi

Welcome to the site. I had originally thought about getting a GTS in 2000 but when I did go for the new car I did a price comparison and for the less money I got most of the options with more power. I do like the looks of the GTS, just not as much as the SS\SC. Getting the SS\SC for your wife will make a nice picture for your driveway.

Well then Mike, seeing as it's in the shop tear it all apart and go for broke. Then throw on a turbo. Who knows I bet Mev would love to design a system for you (except he is kinda busy on that other jerks engine)

I know im ending up with a mini bullit proof,but remember I want to stay Na,so I will talk with Mev about the valve springs and ante the stage 2 to 4 on the cams

with these internals done,i could go higher than a 50shot the JBP valves are ment for itrous and boost,but no none of that for me
