New Guy here, Question...

Hey, i'm 17 and i'm looking to into the cobalts. Im planning on buying one with my own hard earned money (don't have rich parents). But anyway, i was wondering if i were to buy a cobalt ss (not supercharged, would i be able to later put in a supercharger? I'm pretty sure thats do-able but i dont really know much. And it it were possible would the car have 205 hp just like a ss/sc would? thanks.

I am not sure about supercharging the 2.4 ss because I dont think there are any kits out for that yet, but there are turbo kits for the 2.4! I would reccomend just spending the extra cash and getting an ss/sc, you will be much happier and it will be well worth it man! Just save your money for now and in like 6 months get the ss/sc depending on how much cash you have now! just mu $0.02

Welcome to the site!!!
to answer you q"s about the SS/NA..(no supercharger) it is most likly possible that you can put your own in after the fact. It might be cheaper to just buy an SS/SC (supercharged) but if you want it in Automatic then the way that you said to do it might be the easiest (maybe only) way

hey nick welcome, i am not sure about putting the sc on the non sc ss. its a different motor a little bit as far as i know. i would really just buy the sc/ss if i were you. they are not that much more man. it will save you cash in the long run. also the sc model has more than 205, more like 230ish

Adding either turbo- or supercharger would cost a whole lot more than you would save by buying a regular NA SS.
