Misubishi have totally pulled back from Chrysler/Dalimer in recent months. Mnay programs that they were sharing have been dropped. I think they got tired of pumping money into Mitsubishi.

Were they backing Misubishi during the GST/GSX Eclipse era?

I heard they are going to start producing Cobalts made of solid aluminum.

If you mean the first gen Laser/Talon/Eclipse---it was a joint venture. Although Mitsubishi did most the enginering work. The Stratus (Avenger) and Sebring was based of the Galant platform.

Mitsubishi was in on the World engine project (1.8L, 2.0, 2.4) but I think they pulled out.

Any involvement left is at an all time low.

Yeah Ralliarts are nice. I almost ended up in one. Back in the 80's it was Dodge borrowong the Mitsu pick up and renaming the D-50--it even had a Turbo-diesel! A GF at the time had one--it was fun but went through starters like you would not beleive.

And with GM they gave the GT-360 (Trailblazer ect) to Iszuz--called the Ascender. Same for the Saab 9-7.
