Yay! No more Knock Retard!

This winter, if I went WOT, Id get up to 7 - 9 degress of Knock Retard!

My IC Pump was bad,
I replaced it
My KR then would go up to 4

Now I have Non-Winter Gas!

I just did a wot pull comming home from work
and 0.0 the KR stayed!

Indirectly yes...

IC Pump fail

IAT2 temps Go WAY up!

High IAT2 temp = knock

This winter I was getting IAT2 temps
of 130 - 140... when the IAT1 was arround
30 - 40
Though I took a road trip to visit my sister for christmas 400 miles away,
My IAT1 was 30 my IAT2 was 100 @ cruise... 5th 70mph on the freeway.

Swapped out my IC Pump. (Plan on rebuilding old one and keep it for a spare)
Now my IAT2 is between 20 - 30 higher then IAT1, unless im stoped at a red light or something then it goes higher, but then when I move it cools back down.

It's not something you select at the pump like, 87, 89, and 93.

Oil companies use diffrent blend gasolines during colder and warmer climate months. Gasoline also varies by region as well, as diffrent states have diffrent emission laws ect.

I don't know why they do it, or what exactly the differances are though... But if you look, youll find some threads of people noticeing a decrease in gas milage as winter set in.. Even my MPG went down from winter gas, lately I noticed a return to normal, and my KR went away So Its safe to say they switched back to Summer gas! Of course I'm in Alabama, other states may switch later..

I kinda doubt Alabama even has winter fuel. You wouldn't get cold enough to need it.
