no more oil changers from dealer
all you ahve to do is unscrew ONE bolt, and the oil comes out... once it's out, put the bolt back in, don't overtighten it, and you're done with that... take out the filter, put the new filter, and dump the oil in...
that 88 was for synthetic i hope...

It's really easy to change your own. The hardest part is the filter because it's a pain in the ass to get to, but even that's not too tough. It's worth changing your own though because you know it was done right and you can save yourself a fortune.
i do it in the parking lot of my apartment building... you don't really need a place to do it, you can do it wherever the car is..
5-30 Mobil1 = ~$4.75 Qt. * 6 = $28.50
2-pack AC Delco oil filters = ~$11
Just about 40 bucks to do your own oil change assuming you have all the right tools. $40 beats $80 any day, and its really easy to do.

my dealer charges $20-30 i believe
definitely not worth my hassles
plus they fill up the brake fluid, coolant, washer fluid.... and do a 50 point inspection or somethin
why would i change my own oil for that price?

Damn I guess those things do nullify the need to do your own changes. lol
I guess the only reason I'd still do my own is to avoid stuff like them forgetting to put the oil cap back on, not putting any oil in the engine, or generally just screwing something up.
Wal-Mart once forgot to put the oil cap on the g/fs car and she ended up with oil all over her engine bay and luckily no major damage. Things like that make me want to keep doing it myself.
