I did a search and foudn nothing, so What is a good idle point? Right now my car idles at about 900, but sometimes after I slow down and am sitting at a stop light it will idle at 1100.... also sometimes ill be at like 4k in second and Ill let off the throttle all the way and it drops to like 2k orso and stays there for a few seconds... I want to know if this is normal or if this could be related to the codes i got the other day which were p0335 and p0068 ... after i ran the scanner at schucks my check engine light came out.... but it feels like the car is "high strung" now... like it wants to stay at higher rpms.

 

if your in gear but off the throttle and moving, you'll idle at a higher RPM based upon the speed your going....like coasting on the freeway at 80 without touching the gas gives you an idle between 2-3kRPMs

 

Do you have an automatic or a manual?

did you recently do any mods to anything? anything with the MAF?

 

go to the dealer and get a reflash.
