Paint Chipping?

Ive Been Noticing Some Serious Paint Chips On The Front. Just Curious If Anyone Else Is Getting Excessive Chipping On The Hood And Front End? Would Having The Car Buffed Shortly After Purchase Burn Off Enough Clearcoat To Ruin The Paint Job? Reason Im Asking This Is Because On The 1000 Mile Free Detail The Dealer Did, The Guy Scratched The Paint Up Really Bad And The Whole Car Had To Be Buffed. Now Im Seeing The Chips Showing Up And Wonder If It Was Caused By This Early Buff Job. Car Has 15000 Miles On It Now And Is Garage Kept.

Your condition sounds normal to me, its probably the roads you are driving, every car gets chipped dring its life time, badly if you spend a lot of time on dirty roads, following dump trucks or just a lot of highway driving.

Interior paint chips all day long. I didn't notice any excessive wear on my car and I drive on decently dirty roads. My grill took one hell of a beating though any time I drove on the highways which was amazing.

I have two chips on the lower passenger side door...no idea how they get there. Any idea if you could blame it on the paint?

not from rocks?
