paint repair

So apparently somebody opened their door into mine and three paint on my door kind of bubbled out and cracked. Anybody know any tricks on fixing this myself? Every time i look at it it irks me more and more.

Only thing you can do is get a touch up brush and put some clear coat on it so water dosnt get under the paint. Unfortunately to fix the problem the cracked paint has to be feathered out and the door needs repainted. I had a brand new chrysler 300 come in my shop last week with the same problem. Its a easy fix though, should take a day or two to fix. I could do it in a day.

His answer is right, only repainting will fix that. I also work in an autobody shop.

Yeah it sucks when ppl **** up your whip. It's one thing if u do it yourself, but it's so much worse when someone else does it and u have no one to blame. Haha. I think I'm just gonna try to touch it up myself.

ok what happened to me was worse.... i moved into this apts... 2 weeks later... i go lock my car.. see a bad reflection on the trunk... i open my eyes fully... and still see the ugly reflection.. turn out there was a huge dent, like if a professional soccer player kicked a ball as hard as he could right in the center of my trunk... i felt like crying no lie lol no cop could come do the report cuz its "private property" ... a week later this guy knocks on my door... and tell me he had hit my car and that his sis convinced him to come talk to me... he walks me to his truck... lifter 2011 F250... he said he was a bit drunk and that it was too dark to see my car ... trailer hitch was the f****** object that hit my car... he even showed it to mee and it was removed already.. he offered to pay for the lock ONLY ... i felt like grabbing the hitch and smacking him in his bald shiny head till he had no sign of life and told him i wanted everything fixed or cash... he said "ok ill be back here tomy sis apt and ill go and knock on ur door w money on my hand" .... 2 weeks pass... i see his sis and ask for his number and turns out "he had no phone" but could afford the brand new truck... till this day i let my kid jump all he wants (the lady lives below us) and i dont care if she comes complain... the guy has NEVER showed up but once i see him.... or his truck.... ill take ALL my anger out

That looks like a metallic to me. Without a blend it may look bad.

Unfortunately theirs no metallic in the black except the black/gray slate or whatever it is. If theirs metallic in it then yes it needs blended, if not you can usually get away with it.
