LOL

To original poster - you gotta start somewhere. Just think how glad you will be that you learned stick on that car and not some brand new car you buy later.

Sheiat.............You wanna know how I learned? I was at the GM test drive last year, and my buddy was telling me, hey do you drive stick? I said, well, kinda (never, not once in my life). He said lets go test drive the Vettes and CTS-Vs. I said alright. So we hop in the manual tranny line. It's my turn up, I hop in the seat (yes I know what a clutch is, and all that). Guy says, alright, lets roll up to the line. I felt the clutch out for a second, put it in gear, jerked t a lil' bit and rolled to the line. I said sorry, carpet got in my way. Peeled off the line, power shifted second, then rolled around like a champ. First time out.

Then I went to test drive the Ion Redline when that came out. Drove that thing like a ******' newbie like I was supposed to. So guys, I learned by test driving on a Saturn Ion Redline 5 speed. Yes, I was able to get it out of first gear. Even the salesman said I know you can drive stick. I said, yeah clutch gives me a problem sometimes on new cars. Or maybe I should have said, nope I can't. First time out.

x2. The salesman shouldn't be giving you **** anyway. That's not exactly the best way to sell a car. If they do, you know what dealership to avoid when you're actually looking to buy.

I wish you luck. I leaned to dive stick in an 89 Isuzu pick up truck. My Dad gave me the truck for my 15th birthday. I never really had any one give me directions just kinda stalled alot until I got the hang of it. Good luck, I wish you the best.
