I think I may just part out the whole car cause it has low miles and good parts.
Not sure though..
You werent seeing 20+ PSI on a 2.7 pulley unless your cat was clogged (if you even have one)

I was, and I don't have a cat.
But I was running 20+ and there's no doubt about that.

You wanna go big boy power

Better have a big boy budget

Specially on a fwd car not designed for straight line speed

There's no way a 2.7" on an M62 is going to make 23lb unless there is a restriction somewhere else. It might make 18 psi on a completely stock engine, and that's only going to go down as you improve exhaust, head, etc. Did someone cram potatoes up your exhaust pipe?

I've got the budget, I obviously picked the wrong car. So the cobalt will get parted out or fixed and sold. Then I'll just wait a few months and go pick up a stock supra and go from there

You don't

If he really had the money he wouldn't be running a M62 still either.

There is absolutely no point in replacing rods and pistons and keeping a stock LSJ or LNF block. It's going to fail.
You need to swap to a gen 3 block when doing the forged internals. In fact a stock gen 3 block with stock rods and pistons is stronger then an LSJ or LNF block with forged pistons and rods.

Blocks are pretty similar. Pretty sure you just use a different crank/internals/head.

Yes that's what 2.4's and 2.0's are starting to do.
