Projector Retrofit

Hey gang, just ordered headlights and a pair of FX35 Bi-xenon projectors for a retrofit, but I want to put 2 projectors in each headlight. So, I am planning on also getting a pair of TSX xenon projectors for those, just cause I am getting them for so damn cheap.

I was just wondering, is there going to be any issues with my cutoff/light projection by using 2 different brands of projectors, or do I have nothing to worry about? Thanks

why 2 projectors?
I have those exact projectors in my retro (FX35 bi-xenons)

they have a high/low retracting cutoff shield.

Yeah, but I am wanting to gut the entire headlight and do a setup similar to SilverSS/SC where I have a projector mounted to the stock reflector with a big shroud and a smaller light beside it and the DRL/turn signal up top... and I couldn't find anything that would work as the smaller light with reflector to go beside the bi-xenons, so I thought it would be easiest from a fabrication and even time/money factor as I can get the set of single xenons really cheap, to just inset a second set of projectors with smaller shrouds.

What do you guys think about that... any better ideas are very welcomed. Thanks

I was thinking I would just going to start out by doing the 'regular' retrofit and see how happy I am with those, and if I am feeling adventurous I will attempt entire retro.

why would you spend $180 so you can get some reflectors?... go to autozone & find a set of fog lights that have the style you want...

silverss/sc are custom retros from Astra headlights...

where did $180 come from? lol.

oh, so just get some fogs and retro those in? thats a pretty good idea.

ya, I know... I tried to get some Astras but they would cost like $300+ shipped from UK, not worth it.

Search on Ebay for Motorcylce turn signals, I'm sure you will find something

I ment $180 for TSX projectors

hey awesome, thanks alot... those actually look perfect for the DRLs and signals.

as for the scratch retro... dunno yet, I am a n00b with fabrication and have never used fiberglass, so if I decide not to I'll just re-sell the projectors I don't use. Thanks

edit: ooh I see, but a good friend of mine is willing to let a pair go for $40 in good shape too. still have to think, but the route you suggest makes more sense actually

Ya, I will more than likely go that route as well... I saw the thread where you showed what they would look like and they were pretty slick.
