my beltronic RX 65 is better than my friends beltronix 995. was parked right next to him just hanging out in a parking lot. my radad went off than few secs later the cop passed. his didnt even go off!

Keep in mind radar detectors wont make you ticket proof. How you use it will. Not all cops use radar and may witness you speeding. Also, some cops use laser, in which case you SOL by the time you get the notification. But with laser, they have to be within 1,200-ft or so and be directly in front of you in a median or bridge. So keep a look out.

I have the Escort Redline.........its the best so far compared to Escort 9500ix or Valentine.


Valentine.......has a good range......but too much falsies even on the highway! Its like a canary chirping all the time lol!

Escort 9500ix......can remove most of the falsies.......but the detection is usually too late compared to Valentine or Escort Redline.



Yeah the Escort Redline cant eliminate as many falsies compared to Escort 9500ix.......but this only holds true in city driving. But who overspeeds too much in the city? I never get caught overspeeding in the city. I usually get caught on long stretch highways...interstates...etc....where cops are hiding.

Thats where I use my Escort Redline.....on the highway, where there's no falsies by the Escort Redline. And The escort Redline can detect very far...compared to Escort 9500ix.



Anyways, I have both Escort Redline and M27 Extreme laser jammer! Winning combo IMO!

 

I have been looking at picking up a escort passport 7500 on clist for 50...are they good? Anyone have one?

Get the 8500 x50 for that budget. I have the 9500ix with escort live, it rocks.

 

right now the Escort Passport 8500X50 has me convinced... yes i know but i like to take percaution.. i get on the on ramp to the interstate well yeaaa you know what happens lol.. and city use is good. yes im aware of the old methods (6 days after i got license) i got pulled over town clowns using vascar.

 

i only read the OP but a valentine one is what i have and it has saved my ASS! countless times. and my valentine one was made it prolly 96-97ish and it still picks up on all the advanced lazers that the cops use.

i dont know much about the other radar detectors but i know mine has lasted me the 7 years ive had it,works like a champ!

I don't know of any "radar detectors".....FAST enough to save you when you're over the speed limit. Once Radar detectors "detect" lasers........but you're already zapped by the cop, and it's already too late.

Because even though I have a radar detector and a laser jammer...............I still don't want to be ahead of a pack during fast highway runs. Or interstate travel.

I like to be the second or thirds.....so I don't get zapped first.....and once I see the cars in front of me pressing on their brakes....I can slow down ahead of time

 

yep,saved my ass plenty of times. i get lazerd prolly once a day on my way to work at 530AM and i do 10 over the speed limit and havent been stopped yet. i get lazered by the local PD quiet often too,i get a full strength lazer on my Vaneltine one atleast a 1/2 mile-3/4mile in advance.

 

If you have Escort Live you can mark a speed trap so people are warned, or you are warned if someone else marked it. It is pretty neat to have a radar detector with a "social network".
