might have been a little below the belt but once again, I do not care.

I like how you take advantage of daddys life insurance fund to tend to your new cars.

One problem... Money doesn't take away your severe case of homosexuality. Ahh sucks dude!!

Why are you angry with me, have I caused any problems in your life?

I made a mistake, I admitted to it, I learned from it, and now I am moving on.

Unfortunately, people can't get past their jealousy/anger mix, and fail to provide any useful information.

Perhaps I should give all my money to you, because you obviously deserve it more.

Calling me gay? Any other immature insults you'd like to present, maybe you'd like to use a "your mom" joke next?

Anyway, a 1969-70 corvette sounds the most appealing, no electronic bullshit to override, simply engine transmission and wheels. There are plenty of 350's around, but I really want a big block, I'm wondering if it's not worth the extra hassle of finding one and paying through the nose for it.

Wasn't the 350cid 69-70 300hp? Couldn't be that hard to raise that by a few tens of hp.

Like Quagmire Says: "And why are you still here?"

See, the unfortunate thing about this thread is the fact that people were originally upset about your stupidity in the first place, but that hasn't sunk in for you yet. Do you really think they want to entertain your Ideas of a replacement car? You're better off spending your boredom on a site where they don't think you're a complete Idiot for doing what you did. At least if I was in your situation I would have taken the hint.

Speaking as someone who lives in area replete with dirt roads, 50mph is normal for some of them. It's only when you are closing on a corner that speed becomes an inescapable factor. How do I know? Weeeeeellllllll, a learning experience with a 2003 Malibu at work was the main trigger...

it was interesting... stupid, but interesting and there were no embarassing, hard to explain dents or scratches.

Still, why was this dude on a dirt road with a Cobalt SS? I just have a base coupe and I won't even drive it up dirt driveways!

glad your ok!!but by the sounds of it you need to roll around in a **** eater beater and learn how to toss a car around 1st, i havent met many 16 year olds that have any kinda respect for the power that a performance car has, they just think thier hot **** because they drive a nice car. we had a local kid do that, but he has 2 girls in the car and killed himself and one of the girls. i honestly think no one should have a fast nice car till they are out of highschool. theres too much influence in highschool for kids to do dumb stuff. please get like a grand am GT or something id hate to see a nice big block vette get all fucked up, and i think youll feel to confident behind the wheel of an awd car.

AGREED!!! 110%!!!!
When I got my license, my parents wanted me to have a car. Nothing extravagant. They figured i'd need something to drive back and forth to college. My dad was all for giving me a 1984 Mustang GT 20th anniversary edition... 5.0L built up, hurst short through, BBS wheels, 5lug kit... the car was a missile! 140+ on speedo! I took it up the road, got 1/4 mile from the house spun the car around in several unplanned donuts in the 4way intersection and brought it right back. Um. No. With my temper, inexperience and heavy right foot... this was not the car to start out with. My parents and I settled on a $300 Ford Pinto... in 'guarantee-you'll-never-get-laid-ever' orange.
Ironically, right after that episode, I took my mom'a 84 Capri RS 5.0L for a ride with a friend. I came into a 35mph corner at over 110mph... the rear of the car came out from under me and i started to slide. Nowadays, this is called a drift. At that time, I called, 'holy **** we're going to ******* die!' I managed to get the car back under me and get it slowed down, but the rest of the time i had to drive it was spent fixing the doorhandle that my friend pulled out of the door during the flirtation with death!

Shitbox first, fun car second, performance car only after you have mastered the first two.

Around here ravel roads are very common, one about every mile in the country.

Driving 50mph on them is no where near irresponsible, but I guess if you aren't used to them they can bite you in the ass fast.

I have many gravel roads around here and I would NEVER go above 25mph under any circumstance. Rocks flying and hitting the car, too many variables like chuck holes and uneven roads. I won't feel comfortable even in an AWD Car.

Do you feed on peoples critizism? You have no place on this site. Just about every person on here is ripping on you for driving way to damn fast and calling you an arrogant bitch because you think you're hot ****. Maybe you have low self-esteem? Maybe if you flaunt daddys money on the internet people will think more of you?

There's plenty of other forums on the net for you to go ask information on. You should prolly shy away from telling your little story about the dirt road though.

just in his defense, I used to live in Grand Blanc, Michigan and there were several dirt roads that the speed limit was 45, so going 50 is not that much of a stretch.

I have gone over 50mph on gravel roads here in Iowa... If the gravel roads are straight it is no problem... But if they are uneven or wavey roads, there will be problems going over 35mph... A lot of gravel roads around here bow so the sides of the roads are very unstable... Just a case of irresponsible driving from a typical high school student like I was a year ago... I almost totalled my cavalier on a gravel road... Scary ****...

Has anyone ever actually seen any pictures of said wrecked cobalt? or ANY cobalt of his for that matter? He has no credibility and merely uses this site to get a rise out of people by telling very hard to believe stories....now if you do have pictures, please disregard what I have said, but until then, you have no credibility.

Since it sounds like you drive on gravel ever day might I recommend the following:

Pros:

1) The damn things don't die (my buddy STILL has one)
2) I'm pretty sure you could wrap this **** around a utility pole and it would still start
3) Who gives a **** if it gets a few stone chips no one else will

I'm with Cobalt443. I call BS. he hasn't once posted a pic of his Cobalt, and the responses sound like he's trying to rile (sp?) us up. But I also think he's an idiot for saying that the responses are just "jealosy". HA.

If he had track only tires on, as it seems he may have, it sucks but it is his fault. For those of you whining about 50mph on a gravel road, that isn't too fast. The speed limit is 35mph on most gravel roads. 50 is not too fast unless, of course, you have track only tires on. Sory to hear, man but hopefully you learned from it.

We have gravel roads everywhere here (the cobalt has never seen gravel and never will)
50 MPH is pretty average. I used to drive alot of gravel and always drove between 60-70
in a lowered 93 flareside with 295/60/r15 tires you just gotta learn how to drive on it.

As for the car It was stupid to be out there with those tires on and i would have been changing them before I even reported the accident. Glad to hear your ok slow down on the gravel especially if you don't know the road

So then I guess I'll be ok next time if I just put off-road tires on my $1,000,000 McLaren F1? [/showoff] [/jerk] [/dork]

Ahh the hilarity.

The sad part about this whole story is that Tube is probably living at home with both parents, doesn't have anything better to do except brag about a car he wished he owned and crashed. And then starts raving about all these cool ass cars he wishes he could afford. I know being 14 with pimples is tuff Tube but be a man! I mean with all your money you have I am sure you could buy a nice digital camera and take a few pics of this totaled cobalt you say you crashed.

I am sure there is some other forum you can hit up and act all l33t with, with your 600+ HP cars and phat bling bling rims that you can do sick ass burn outs and drifts going 50MPH with your dunlops on a dirt road. I read over some of these post and I am in complete aww that you would still even be posting after all the slaps to the face from true Cobalt owners. You must really enjoy it, or show all your little l33t friends how dumb we all must look, but Tube look in the mirror man I think you missed that pimple on your forehead.
