o man thats nothin. I hope u drove it home. Just think how much more air is getting to the engine and how much weight u loss. lol.

Anyways Im glad ur OK. I had a guy in a saturn do that to me but all i got was a few scratches on the front bumper and some minor tweakage. lets just say the deer did more damage. If I were u, if the insurance company totals it, buy it back and part it out.

bent rad, broken boot, loss of fluid, new front bumper, two new head lights, airbags, fenders, new steering wheel, new passanger side plastic panel for airbag, possible bent frame.

I can't see why it won't be totalled. I am sure the motor took some type of damage as well.

I manage a collision center in Texas. The collision damage by itself will not cause it to total. That is perfectly repairable. Since the airbags deployed though, that may push it over the edge. Most insurance comapnies will total out a car if the cost of repairs reach %70 of the value of the car or if it is considered a "structural loss." Yours is not a structural loss, but it could be a financial loss. The airbags, controle module, seat belts and clockspring alone go for about $3000.

Sub boxes are EXTREMELY DANGEROUS in an accedent. Most people that I know of dont attach it to anything so with the right amount of force it will move. When I rolled my probe(its a hatchback BTW) I had the backseats folded down with 2 10" subs pointed towards the front of the car in a box. Well when the car rolled that baby moved right up to the back of my seat, Im lucky that it didnt catch me in the back of the head. I think the wires might have held it back enough or something to keep it from going any further ahead.

Our cars are unibodies. They do not have frames.

In Washington state it is illegal to have subs in a box and not have them secured/bolted down. If a cop were to pull you over and find it not secured down they can give u a nice ticket... i think its over a 100 dollar ticket too....

You might want to look into getting your own estimate independant of the insurance company. When my mom got hit head on by some crazy bitch trying to get insurance money, the damage was estimated at $4500...actual repairs came to almost $9000.

To the person that said unibody cars don't have frames, that's not entirely true. They don't have FULL frames but they have frame rails and such welded into the body. And yes, it can still be bent just the same as a full-frame car.

Bingo! The red fluid would be ATF. The auto transmissions in these cars have a cooler built into the radiator for the tranny fluid. You are either leaking it from the radiator itself, or maybe busted lines. That's nothing much to worry about. It's a necessary fix with a new radiator anyway.

The neon green fluid is your refrigerant oil, also know as PAC oil, to lube up your A/C compressor when its running. And Yes GM uses Dex-cool which is red. Hope they do a good repair for you, I personally wouldnt get my car repaired at the dealer, I'm a bodyman myself and from experience i can tell you that the dealership is the worse place to get your car fixed.

Maybe i'm biased. But i have yet to see a good repair job done by a dealership. Heck, them paying small companies that work out of vans outside in the cold and rain, painting bumpers using laquer paint instead of proper base-clear makes me wanna hurl. I know of a guy that works out of one of these vans for a rental company, that we also happen to do work for. When a bumper that gets hit hard enough to require a repair instead of just paint comes in and hes touched it, the paint just flies off in sheets with an air blower. My 2 cents. Yes i know highly biased! ;-)

sorry man but i would fight that. your frame rails are bent. you could tell the insurance company it is totaled because the car now has frame damage. i would fight that like none other. i hit a car doing about 28-30 and my air bag went off and the fenders, hood, bumper cover were broken. the rad and ac compressor still held pressure. 10000 repair. totaled. sorry

Insurance are sure happy to collect and make sweet promisses, but when it commes to pay, damn they are ****. Dont settle for anything less than what you want. They are obligated to pay you street value of your car. In this case, 14600$
