that is the book i have..maybe i wasnt to clear. what i am trying to do is to see if it is possible to remove the pistons without having to drop the motor out.

Oh. That shouldn't be that hard. I have not done it myself but that is how most people do when they rebuild their LSJ.

Remove the oil pan.

And tap the pistons up from the bottom. I don't know if there is a step by step guide for that.

yea i haven't done it .. however I know 2 people who've done it without dropping the motor

whoo sounds pretty weak.. lol. well i have a while to do this so i guess i gotta buy another beater. sucks i just sold mine too. i might just put everything i pulled off back on and trade her in..time for awd.
