Is there a way to get between the HVAC controls and the black bezel around it? I'd like to take the inserts that go between the LED's and front facia out to replace the ones in another HVAC unit that were sharpied.

 

are you asking how to take apart the hvac control unit essentially? if so you pull out the knobs sstraight out then simply undo the tabs
