So I finally have time today to change my worn out CABs. I got the driver's side done just fine, move to the passenger side and take the control arm out. I'm cleaning up the mating surfaces for when it comes time to re-install them and I see this while I'm doing it...



Here's a bigger picture, closer up:



Its on the passenger side and connects to the transmission right around the axle. Does anyone know what this part is? or why the bolts may be this loose? I don't think they were supposed to be.

P.S. I know my car and wheel well are extremely dirty lol its a DD so what else can you expect...
