srt-4 or keep ss/sc
^ Same here. And "sloburus"? WTF lmfao, you apparently have no taste in cars, the SRT-4 and STi are ******* sweet looking cars, I love the way they look.
How does your little cobalt lt or ls or whatever, look in your eyes compaired to the STI and SRT-4?
btw, no offence to all the other cobalt ls and lt owners.
i went up against an srt-4 at the track one time. I was stock, he was modded, exhaust and some other ****, not sure what. I kicked his ass off the line, and put like 2 cars on him, I had him beat 3/4's of the way, but the turbo kicked my ass and he passed me just as we hit the line. I was mad.
bolt is the way 2 go. Dont quit on ur car, are cars are pretty sweet.
dang that sounds like a badass race. Well not for u for the srt4. For some reason i hate those cars cuz there better than ours.

Get an SRT-4. I used to be a prowd owner. Despite what the haters say, and like what the more mature and sane people on this board have already said, the SRT is the perfect mix of a low priced powerful engine with decent looks.
It is really one of the best bang for the buck cars out there, and unlike what somebody said on this thread, it only takes a few mods to stretch its power even further. The only downside for the car is the handling, and it does much better from a roll then pit. They are great in a straight line but if you need to turn them you'll lose traction really fast.
If you're going to take it to the track, you're going straight (usually), so its a great choice. If you want a good street car/daily driver, you can get it staged w/ "turbo toys" which lets you set the WGA and boost settings from a dial inside the cabin. 1 for everyday driving, 2 for performance driving, and 3 if you have race gas ready (for the track).
If its an option at all, go with it. Its also a sedan, so if you have a coupe your insurance will either drop or stay the same.

You do realize you drive the same car right? Same platform, same powerplant (his is faster
) but the only major difference is the body. So by you making fun of his car really makes you look like you dont know much.
dude srt's go to **** around 50k i know a few people with em and as soon as the get in that range the car goes to hell... there like retired super model's they just let them selves go and get all gay and ugly.. in this case slow and way bogged out
doesn't matter, its still a saturn, who the **** owns saturn. I think ive seen 2 redlines in my lifetime. The only thing that is the same is the type of engine. Just like acura and honda
High 16's at 6,000 actual feet above sea level, and a corrected altitude around 12,000+ feet. I have a friend who is running a 2.2 5-speed coupe with just a CAI, B&M short throw, and muffler who ran 16.5's consistently at a corrected altitude near 11,000 feet. He cut that down to 16.4 by removing his front passenger seat. Think he can drop another 10th by removing his rear seat? He has now added poly trans mounts and a Ingall's stiffy. Can't wait to see what he runs when the stupid snow melts and the track reopens in May.
Why the **** are you people arguing over something SO STUPID.
"Hello Pot? This is the Kettle... you're black."
It'll always be a Neon.
It'll always be GM's Sport Compact SHITBOX.
You people need to grow up... don't have so much PRIDE over a ****** car.
------------------------------------------
On the other hand... this is what I LOVE about SRT-4's: The Exhaust. Watch and listen. The body is fucked up on this one... made me scratch my head.

and FYI if 06 and 07 SS/SC's are 16k or less with under 20k on the clock and an SRT4 from 05 with the same miles is around the same price which hold's value better????
you are so WRONG!!!! same whole freaking front subframe, and jus about every other important thing on the freaking car.. the LSJ motor started in the IRL for the 04 model year which a FULL year before the SS/SC.. and guess what? ive never met a cobalt owner who has made such a retarded statement as you.. congrat's... allmost as good as the tool on the first page who i allready quoted as saying cobalt's hold there value yeah right.. you get the #1 spot he takes a close #2...

believe me, I had one. You don't buy an SRT for its amazing handling, because it should be pretty well known they were built to go foward really quick, thats about it.
Anyway, seems everybody is just getting ego-hurt about people downtalking their cars, so this thread will probably not get any more useful from here on out.
