The sad part is, I don't even like dodge myself. But you people are bashing this car for the stupidest reasons. The only thing you have against it, is the fact it is a neon.

If the kid wants to go fast, the SRT-4 is a lot better car to get than a Cobalt. Look's are nothing but opinion. Fact is there are faster SRT-4s than there are Cobalts.

Most of the people bashing the car are all LS owners, its pathetic. You obviously know nothing about cars and probably never even touched an engine.

I used to own an SRT-4 after I owned my first cobalt ss... I must say the SRT was very fun and much easier to launch off the line. Exhaust sounded amazing to me and was just fun. The reason I went back to the cobalt ss.. is because I missed the way it rides as a daily driver and the way it looks, and I missed the supercharger scream even tho I still loved the spooling sound. But I through a few mods on my car: stage 2 injen cai, gmpp exhaust, 2.9, and Ill through a header and downpipe later and Ill be happy... So if you are looking for strictly performance go with the SRT if your looking for looks will some nice power stick with the SS/SC

You obviously haven't driven a new Corolla or Civic, they are better than your Cobalt.

 

why god why??? you do know the new Z06 is the ONLY v8 sport's car with NO gas guzzler tax right? and im sorry but an LS cobalt isnt a sport's car. and shouldnt be made into one.. even if you do end up makin more power than an SS/SC you will have reliability issue's with your car.. and for the record you shouldnt even be bashing an SRT4. they are awesome in a striaght line.. you couldnt beat an R/T neon with jus the 2.4 N/A so why bash the SRT4???

i mean i like the SRT4 cause when i was at UTI they has jus come out.. mad power but the crank up rear window's makes me scratch my head alittle..

c'mon folks both cars a great and both have some pro and con. I really like the cobalt s/c cuz it whines lol, the only think i dont like is the fact that they blow engines like crazy (as we speak there are 2 or 3 folks in this site that are worried as hell about blown theirs engines) SRTs blocks take beatings preety well and useally they dont break pass 400hp to the wheels. Imao the cobalt ss/sc has a lot better interior than my SRT but again i used to have a gto so interior wise to me is not that important anymore. But guys dont acts as chevy fans boy and bash the car for subjective opinions. Looks is subjective in the eyes of the owner dont u think ?

 

do what YOU want to do. Not our choice what you like better or not, if u like the SRT better take it, like the SS/SC better take it.

as for these people bashing me, i could care less. I got what i got cause im 21 with no credit. I went for a 08 Sport or 07 SS/SC and didnt get approved. So i had to settle with an LS or LT. Once my credit improves, i will have a much faster chevy. for now, im just going to throw money into making the LS quick.

 

All we ask are post some facts as to why the SRT-4 sucks? Since your obviously the expert here.

Because i could hold my own with a stock Scion tC against a Neon SRT-4. The neon is not as cracked up as everyone thinks.

The Neon is a Neon, a Cobalt is a Cobalt, no matter how fast or how slow thats the bottom line, so can we please just stop being stupid before we get the thread locked? Its not really fair to the OP.
