It is true, the factory is going to put in components that allow MAYBE a 40% SAFE increase of HP over stock. Why would a manufacture spend money to make it safer at higher levels, they don't care. Thats the truth. Any engine that is pushed passed a certain point will need to be upgraded all around to make it a good reliable daily driver.

They may not have built it up to be able to support that kind of power adding on purpous, but that doesn't mean that the parts can't handle that kind of power.

You might want to check out what this guy has to say:

"Stage 3 is not warrantied = FALSE I have the stage 3 and Nitrous both installed by my dealership and it is covered. Not sure who started this whole "story" but they were wrong. Off-road kit is implied because having nitrous installed in your car is not legal in 50 states and the A/C as something they took off to make it "off road" is also a bunch of crap. It is not on there because they simply did not have enough room to put all the information on the pcm..so hopes of installing your AC back with HP tuners is out the window...for AC...simply reconnect your stage 2 pcm...wow...thats hard.

Clutches can't hold it = FALSE Clutches in our cars are rated at 320 WHP. It's the people who say they can drive a clutch...but really can't who have the issues. (no offense guys)

Axles will break because they are not strong enough = FALSE Your axles are good to 350ft/lbs...its the guys who are hopping all over the place and don't let off the gas or don't understand the concept of "feathering" the gas that typically have issues. Reason number two for this...YOUR CAR IS NOT A DRAG CAR!!!!! STOP DRAGGIN YOUR CAR! They are designed for autocrossing. Not your local quartermile track. If you want to do that yes...you will need good axles but the ones on your car are fine."
