so i have a cai that ive been meaning to install and was wondering if there was a way to install by just taking out the headlight and the housing?
i looked at how-to guides and at other threads but everyone takes off the bumper or the black cover in front of the tire, i was thinking maybe if i just take off the headlight i can do it form there.

 

you dont need to take off the bumper. just jack up your car and use jackstands to support it. remove your front driver side wheel and remove all the clips holding the fender lining in place. remove the one screw holding the intake on a bracket, unplug the MAF and vacuum hose on the intake along with the the clamp around the TB, the stock intake comes off in 2 pieces and voila, its out. slide your new intake in. should take no longer than about 45 minutes
