I think it was a mid model year change, because I've seen 05 8s and 05 9s

yeah i edited my comment if you didn't see it
but yeah they came out mid year

but that silver one was just a link error
the page is titled 05 evo 9 mr
but the title to the thread is 06

mr's always came out a year later than the intro of the new gen

for example evo 8's came out in 03 but the evo 8 mr didn't come out until 04
same goes for the 9's they came out in 05 but the mr's didn't come out until 06
