torque

What's the torque for the 2.4L LE5 Oil filter housing cap? Is it different for each model? I've seen different answers from looking around

Just twist it 'til it's tight. As long as you don't just hand tighten it you'll be fine.

That has always worked for me.

Except for once on an engine mount bolt

Sorry to thread jack but what happened? I m curious because I have to install my TTR Mount and it says torque to spec and I just figured if I tightened it as tight as I could it would be fine.

Yeah I kinda draw the line there. If it's something that's actually important (Caliper bracket mount bolts, engine mount bolts, etc.) I'll torque it to spec, but if it's something like the oil filter housing, I don't really care. I work at an oil change shop and we've never had a problem just wrenching it on there good and tight.

treat it just like the plug in the oil pan... snug, then about a 1/4 turn.
