Turning a LT into a SS

I have a rusty SS turbo coupe 5 speed and a clean LT coupe auto.
Is a body with the automatic capable of taking the 5 speed?

It's possible but a lot of work. From my understanding the Auto sits in a different spot, so the motor/tranny mounts and DP needs to be swapped. Also, you'll need to swap the ECU and possibly delete the TCM. The wiring harness & clutch system need to be swapped. You might be better off just trying to find an SS in better shape and harvest all the good stuff from the old one. Or... build a goblin!! :-)

they all started out as the same car;
if you have the will to follow through, then yes you can do it...
I am not sure of any components which might have been welded to the unibody which differentiate drivetrains - but that might be a good place to start
