We need one of those "Your first few mods..." threads!

I was hoping to find one of these but I can't find one anywhere. Usually on car forums for specific cars, they'll have a performance thread stickied up top with recommended first modifications.

SO I guess I'll ask the question....

What are some of the first few things I should look into doing to my car?

I debadged the Cobalt LS off my trunk and installed an intake just recently. I already have springs, but they're not installed yet cause I'm trying to save up for some Koni struts. Once I do that I'm going to get a LSJ Dp and a Tsudo catback.

well bravo to you sir. im still skeptical, as no one else seems to mention these cams at all...ever
possibly a misprint, because looking up that part number on comp cams website lists it for the 2.2 ecotec family. Im not sure if the 2.0 is considered the 2.2 family by their definition...
its also slightly milder than the profile they have for the 2.2 blower set as well...which seemed odd to me.

i will agree to this, but a lot of the newer members who dont even know what mods to start with dont want to void their warranty

I've had my SS/SC for about 6 months now and I'm getting ready to do some mods as well... How safe is it to be running the 2.8 MPS in the OTT Stage 1??? From most of what I've seen on here nobody likes to push much more than Nate's 2.85... The OTT sounds good but I don't want my motor to blow up.

There no specific first mods everyone should do, it all depends on your plans and how you want your car.

Intake is what i recomend.

someone like me with a lot of miles looks pass the warranty, agreed these will deff void it lol. i found two vids on youtube of the SS SC with comp cams. not mistaken for the 2.2. actually it is a yellow one, like mine.

misprint, maybe. we need a senond or third opinion.

the site list part numbers a specifically says for the 2.0 supercharged... thats a Big eff up HAHAHA

ill look more into it.

Here is a link for a cam list, many to choose from. They could be implying that they are universal and suitable for the 2.0 and 2.2. I am iffy on anything universal fit... engines arent cheap

http://www.compperformancegroupstore...e=CHEV464CAM20

Not disagreeing, but how is the OTT better from factory stage 2? Make me a beleiver =)
