Seeing as Hahn hasnt really given official word on the release time for the 2.4 turbo kit and a Manager at a not so local Chevy dealership called me with what seems to be a deal on a SS/SC, I am seriously considering trading my SS/NA for a SS/SC and I want to know what everyone else thinks. Now I know that there has been a thread or two about this but there is a little twist to this one is the trade worth it if the SS/SC that I would be getting doesnt have the G85 package.

How much are you going to lose on the deal?

Yeah, that's tricky, because they WILL pay it off, but then they'll tack on whatever you owe to the new loan. Just as a FYI, Your car depreciated by 25% the day you drove it off the lot. So if you paid MSRP or under, and put down 25%, then you may be ok. You can easily find out what the car is worth now by calling the bank and finding out how much you owe and comparing it to kelly blue book. That'll tell you if you have equity or if you're upside down.

Ahh, well in that case you'll have an extra 3k tacked onto the new car loan, which will boost your payment by about $60.00 every month. I would keep it and work on paying that down by making double payments for the next year or so, and then see where you're at.

I did the samething and dont regret it at all. 100% worth it IMO. My 2.4 was worth 15k. Another dealer offered me 17k for it but they didnt have the SS/SC I wanted. (I made sure I got g85, wasnt having regrets this time around).

i did the same thing too....i lost $4k...but it was worth it IMO....and i didn't get the g85....i don't like the recaro seats, and i won't be doing any autocrossing, so the LSD won't be much good to me... overall im very pleased with my decision
