Question What do you guys think of this?

I think this would be a fun car to drive, hell it's slower than my Cobalt but it wouldn't be for long... I hopefully would be able to sell the Cobalt for $12,000? I would have $6,000 to put into replacement parts including ripping out the ugly blue interior. I'm not one of those people that are dedicated to import or American, I love both, so I think it would be a good decision. Also take into account that I'm still in HS with a job so I don't have any major bills yet. Think I could do it? Or should I not trust it?

Never really a fan of that generation corvette......I've worked on a bunch of them (I work at a chevy dealership)....parts are expensive and just not to great to drive in my opinion....and that lt-1 needs too much money to make it fast, not to mention the crappy opti-spark distributor set up they have.

I really would like an older style muscle car that is affordable to me (under $8000), is there any you would recommend?

And what if I didn't decide to make it fast but just kept it as a stock DD? It wouldn't be that much just to replace old parts would it?

Well even just replacment parts are expensive......I never even liked how they drove. It almost feels like you are in a coffin or something, but that is just my opinion. Give it a spin and see how you like it

I hate to sound like a pain but when you say expensive can you give me a comparison to the Cobalt? Its hard for me to picture haha.

ok.....well that opti-spark distributor I was talking about. They are common to go out........a gm opti-spark will run you about 1100 bux. You can get an aftermarket one for maybe 300 or so, but they will probably last about 6 months lol.

You just crushed my dream lol. Thats out of the question then. Why does GM have to make such expensive parts?! I can buy a used cobalt engine for that much!
