IMO this is a chance to build another skill I could use. Building ****. It's just what I do and honestly as time goes on, I find myself saying "I could never do that" less and less by the second. The only thing I can't do is make excuses why I can't do something. Because I don't rely on other people for ****. I wanted LED side markers so I R+D and made my own. I wanted LED tails and nobody makes them so I made my own. It's why I self tune, fix my own car, and make what I need when nobody else makes a suitable product. I'm just that way.

On the plus side I should have some epoxy leftover when this is done so I'd like to experiment with Kevlar to make a bulletproof yet reasonable weight(and visually terrifying) costume for Halloween.

Always wear eye protection, when working with fuel systems

Was replacing an injector back to the factory gm injector.

I removed the fuse for the fuel pump and turned the car over several times till it wouldn't even sputter. (de-pressurizing the fuel system)

I pulled out the fuel rail which went very easy. It was so easy I should have expected something **** was about to happen..

Went I removed the fuel injector 30psi of fuel shot directly into my right eye(the good one)

I ran inside and flushed it for 30 minutes. I should be fine but it was bullshit. I really neex to buy one of those fuel pressure reading tools, that screw onto the fuel rail.

My advice to you
ALWAYS wear eye protection when working on fuel systems!

But today for some reason it slipped my mind.

Im sure a lot of people don't think about it either. I just wanted to give everyone a reminder.

I re-installed my factory variable timing solenoids.

I also re-installed my factory injector.

I had previously replaced these part for a misfire issue that I was having.

The fuel rail is in nice and flush(before it would wobble a bit from left to right)

The car now runs smoother and better than it previously did in everyway.

From here on I will try to run only gm parts.

Is it painted? The one I picked up is painted ibm and in very very good shape especially compared to mine. I got it for 170. I couldn't find a better deal considering new from gm it would have been 360 and not painted.

Never know if you will need another front lip. I needed one because mine got cracked the last winter. Might be worth picking up

So I found some line-art of a G5 and I've been playing around with bumper designs. One is an overdone enlarged SS bumper and one is based off a G8. Not sure I like either of these 100% but I'm going to keep screwing around with it.

It may happen yet. I don't know if I'm going to keep it. That will be the deciding factor

After I got my wife her new car i kinda got an itch to get something newer myself, the extra stuff and the way the new cars interiors are seems pretty nice to have and all, but in the end I would miss the power to much to enjoy another car, and everything that might be a good replacement would be out of my payment range atm.
