Let's see how this one turns out first lol. I see a flaw already but I'm going to put two layers of carbon so it won't really matter.

Got these today. They are 100% exactly what I've been looking for for like 6 months now. Turns out I wasn't vague enough while searching for them. Now if I can get a system down I can start thinking about making dash trim from scratch.

Same here. I am really surprised at how strong even one layer of carbon is. I can't wait to start doing the more serious stuff. Now I really want to make a cover for one of my arms and see how much abuse it can take. Have my family hit my forearm with a pipe or something.

But for now I'll keep focused. I may finally have some time tomorrow to add some layers of epoxy on the a-pillar and I may try to start the driver side Sunday if dealing with the wiring for the wideband doesn't drive me up a wall.

Drove it to work. Check engine light appeared again for no reason. Probably another sensor. Yay!

The worst part is you two are local. I'm starting to skin my ecm cover today. It's been off the car forever but maybe this will make me want to put it back on.

As much as I'd like to say I ragequit the cover, one of my idiot neighbors in my apartment complex stepped on it like an ******* when I lived in Abilene. I had just got the car too.

TBH I don't think making the entire lid would be possible with carbon. A cover for the top part of it maybe. I may cut the one I have up to make a mold for a cover and just buy a new one that isn't broken. I'm still going to work on the headlight covers and eventually get to the dash trim pieces. Tons of pics will definitely be coming, especially once it warms up a little more. But for now I put the last coat of epoxy down on the A-pillar and maybe tomorrow I'll start leveling it and spray a coat of automotive clear coat on it.

That's what I was talking about just a cover for the top part not the whole thing, but if the whole thing could be do that would be cool, look good man I wouldn't mind to have those done

Don't you have a triple pod pillar? I'm curious about how hard it will be to do my single pod. I'll be finding out soon. I'm also thinking of picking up some 3M Super 77 to adhere the stubborn-ass carbon to the parts I wrap. It is infuriating trying to deal with the fabric raising up above the part. I'm sure I'll get better the more I screw things up. I just haven't had time to do much lately. Today we tried out the new Golden Corral in LC. Disappointed there were no fried clams to be found, but everything else was tasty.

Yeah I do but I've been thinking of removing it and getting the pods that go near the speedo, once it gets hot outside the interceptors are impossible to read because they are super hot so maybe if I relocate them it will help
