Last night I bled the clutch a bit more after the new clutch install. On the way home from work it had no feeling and engagement was about an inch off the carpet. After, it feels much more linear and grabs somewhere in the middle. I was a dumba$$ and broke my steering angle sensor trying to install my new intermediate shaft and now my ESC light is always on. Waiting on that and my new AEM meth kit.

Prepping for coilover install. there was rust(not a lot, mostly surface) everywhere including up inside the strut towers. Sanded everything down and primed it with rustoleum etching primer. I was planning to spray bedliner over this but I'm not so sure now as I like this grey look.

Flushed the calipers with dot4 to prep for autox tomorrow, wish I could find out where my right rear tire is leaking from. Goes down 3-4psi over a week.

Thanks man only thing left at this point is to take the trans out. Once that's out I can start reassembling everything. I might buy some stuff like the sway bar bushings. I'm going to install Powell CABS as the stock ones are all torn

Definitely do the while you're there parts, otherwise a few months down the road you'll need to fix/replace them

They look in perfect condition but with 99k on the car I think it would just be better to do it now than wait

finished installing bc racing coilovers. the first time for me doing anything like this.
the hardest part was sway bar link as I had to cut the nut off. everything else was cake.
I'm pretty sure I got the fronts right but the rears, I am not 100% sure
gonna go test em, if i don't come back you know what happened, i died.

wow, the car feels great, hooks so much better. I'm surprised I heard no cling, clangs, bangs or booms while driving. I hear the cobalt interior banging around more thou lol, but I do have the stiffness set pretty hard.

I'll go home and check my latest dealer receipt for the bushings. The original bushings I pulled out had "23" stamped on them. The ones I put in had "25" stamped on them. I was hesitant about them but the parts guy said that's what the VIN pulls up, and I don't have any more clunking, so they must be working.

Just finished removing the old clutch pedal from the Redline, along with the clutch master cylinder. Minimal brake fluid everywhere which was nice. Ordered a new 2.9 pulley for it. Not sure why as I'm just planning on selling it, but I guess I miss my LSJ cobalt and it's comforting working on it.

Just sold my 2009 Cobalt SS today I'm gonna miss her.

I was able to get $8,000 cash and it was at 85k miles with about 50% tread on the tires. Pretty happy with its resale value considering I paid $9100 or $9200 3.5 years ago (and 20k miles ago).

I've got a brand new ZZP downpipe and an ECU flash tune for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested! Price is more negotiable now that the parts didn't sell with the car.
