I mean more procedure-wise what are you doing for break-in? I know there is controversy around how to properly break in modern engines so I'm always curious to see how different people do it. Like are you doing a specific kind of driving? Staying below a certain rpm? Modulating the rpm up and down? Doing acceleration followed by deceleration to allow the engine to pull high vacuum? Those types of things

So you are following Total Seals gapless ring recommended break in procedure? What does that entail?

Replaced the radiator after the stocker broke. Terrible ******* job. Easy as pie but the weather here in AZ isn't exactly "wrench friendly" at the moment.

I didn't either till my ls got some damage, now all my cars are covered. Its so cheap to do that I look at it as if im putting that money back in the bank for when it happens.

I don't remember if you said but are you setting up your car to run regular or pulleying down and running premium or E85? When you get it all sorted you ought to put up a video doing some pulls or something.

Ring Seating
When first starting your engine to ensure proper ring seating, do not allow the engine to idle for long periods at a time. It is a good idea to mildly load the engine as soon as you can. Highway driving is a good way to properly seat the rings quickly. Do not idle the engine as idling does not break in any engine. Total Seal ® DOES NOT recommend the use of synthetic oils during break-in. After 2000-3000 miles on the street, or one night racing on the track, the rings should be adequately seated so that any oil you prefer can then be used.
It says it's a good idea to "mildly" load the engine but then, in a roundabout way, they also say if you can run the engine hard for a much shorter break in period ("one night racing on the track"). That's what interests me. Is it better to break it in easy over an extended period or is it better to break it in hard and fast. Alternatively does really make a difference either way? That's where I usually see people disagree. I would infer that you could make a hard pull during your extended break in period and you would still be operating within total seals recommended procedure. With my car I broke it in easy for just a short while before going WOT mainly because I had to go WOT for data logs to get my car tuned and I couldn't find anything official that suggested I would do any harm by breaking it in under high load .
