I don't know if they have much of an impact on the rigidity of the body but you can have your car completely up in the air securely in about 5 minutes and are worth it for that fact alone. I think you will question why you waited so long once you try them out for the first time lol.

My main reason for getting them is adding rigidity. Having easy and reliable jack points is a big plus, but I would never take the weight penalty of adding UCRs just for that. Powells statements of how much it improves the cars handling got me sold
I successfully torqued down the torque to yield bolt on the harmonic balancer holding it with a 10mm wrench in the spoke and a 10mm allen wrench going through a hole in the frame. I was pretty nervous putting 78 ft lbs plus 75 degrees of additional rotation on it, but it actually held. If you're ever doing this yourself, just use a double open ended wrench. I unfortunately didn't have one available, but it worked out.
I think the value is in the LSJ build book but I think it just has you go to 150ft-lbs straight up without worrying about guessing your degrees right (unless you have fancy torque/ange wrench)
I finally got my car back on the road tonight. I swapped the timing and balance chains as well as the tensioners, guides, and sprockets. I unfortunately had to take a detour and pull the oil pan off after I butterfingered the little plastic oil nozzle. That was a little frustrating. It's all good tonight though, this car feels so nimble after driving my wife's 4 cylinder Subaru Legacy for a month!
Just received this yesterday and soon to be done. Only pieces left of my +9yr old GMPP Touring exhaust is the muffler and tip.
I just hope this ZZP resonator does not have the same scraping/bottoming out issue as the huge GMPP Touring one did.

Not today, but in the past week I have installed a catted ZZP downpipe and had my car tuned on 93 octane. Was tuned by James Rakes and feels like different car.

I would have recommended MPX over any other exhaust. MPX is 3 bolt flange all the way back and is great quality and sound.

Which is backordered until pretty much next year as well. My top 3 options were, MPX, ZZP and Hahn. (in that order). Hahn is the only one who can get me an exhaust in a timely fashion.
I was leaning towards Hahn, but when I emailed them and ZZP, ZZP was the only one to reply (and quickly).
This is the 2.5" version above going on a 2.2 auto. Would have liked a muffler w/o tip option in case there are fitment issues, sticks out too far, etc. Never even checked out MPX
Replaced the transmission, flywheel friction plate, clutch and both axles. Should be replacing the leaking radiator and sticking thermostat this weekend.
Had my ZZP 2.5" + catted downpipe exhaust installed today. Loud as hell (internally in the cab anyway) but nice rumble at idle externally. Have not listened to or recorded outside to see how obnoxious the sound is while moving. Might try another muffler later on. Tip sticks out a bit. I did notice a slightly improved throttle response.
And the resonator sits even lower than my older GMPP Touring one did. DP seems to be pushing it down a bit as well. 5th pic is getting an oil change and they had to back it out as the resonator would have hit the protruding sliding steel piece on the floor.
And... found that my GMPP Extrude Honed Exh Manifold is cracked when I asked them to put on a new heat shield. Joy
Sucks your manifold is cracked. Do you hear the exhaust leak much? My zzp resonator sits low too, it's just so damn big. It has some scrapes on it I assume from hitting the road in spots.
I have not heard any leaking from the manifold. Perhaps it not right through yet. Just a matter of time though.
I am looking at the ZZP shorty header, as the GMPP Extrude Honed one is long gone it seems. Not sure I want a stock 2.2 exh manifold again... unless the 2.4, LSJ , etc. bolt up fine, and breath better.
I do know I will eventually be putting on a smaller resonator (not going through all the same BS I had with the GMPP Touring resonator - scraped it dozens of times over the years), and playing with diff mufflers. It is just too ridiculously loud inside. Can't even hear the GMPP CAI anymore. I still need to hear the sound externally first though to see if it is just as loud.
