Whern to switch to synthetic oil

I plan on running my 2.4L SS on synthetic oil. My question is when can I switch?

Redline oils says 1500-2000 miles
Royal Purple says first oil change---so thats probably 3000miles.

I watch alot of the "Power Block" on Spike TV, and alot of the shows say Royal Purple is good stuff. They guarantee cooler engine temps with just the oil.

Watched Horsepower TV, and they changed ALL the fluids in the car (including the rearend grease) with Royal Purple products and they gained 4 hp

It doesn't come with synthetic from the factory? If not, then just change to what you want to use in it whenever the oil manufacturer suggests.

you can switch to synthetic motor oil any time you want, synthetic is actually better for your engine.

well out of everything I heard....you cannot change ANY time you want. ON a brand new engine you do have to wait a bit.

I changed my oil the first time just over 1000 miles with Mobil Clean 7500 Synthetic Blend 5W-30 and I haven't noticed any harmful results since. I'm now just over 4000 miles and plan on changing again at 5k. Go with what you want and you should be fine.
