They are asking 899 for the sky and solstice intercoolers, so somehow i dont think this is gonna be cheap considering they are the same cores... i imagine it will end up being around 600 GB price, although i would still liek to see < 500 but chances are that will not happen

$600 for a GB price sounds pretty good for the IC if you get 20+ people wanting it. $900 would sound even better for the combo. .

Honestly, I don't think there are enough HHR guys interested in tuning their cars to do a GB over there. They're more concerned with smoothie hubcaps and stick on chrome. That's why I figured I'd ask if I could jump into this one.

That would drive me nuts

I just don't think the price is going to be good enough for me to jump onto this before the other mods that I have planed. If it was going to be a HUGE HUGE deal not just $200 bucks or so I would. I will be happier going with the big power add mods like HPT and stock turbo upgrade. For those that already have tuning and such this is a deal for you. For me i think the stock IC and piping will be fine for a bit on 320hp. BUT I will do it in the future.

RBC,

tuning is def the first thing to get.

but if you plan a turbo upgrade, the IC is a must with that move.

The stocker will just choke that bigger and more efficient turbo.

I think I am going with a stock upgraded with bigger compressor wheel once we see how it will perform. The stock IC will work fine for now.

Hahn intercoolers are top notch, Thats what i run on my talon and i love it.

By the way bill, You need to venture over to 2gnt.com. I think youd be surprised how many turbo 420a's are popping up all the sudden.... **cough** new parts!!! *cough* *cough*

I could go for a group buy on portfuelers (420a of course)

Well, considering the market and the competition, I'd price this equipment competitively. Intercooler for $550 shipped. and combo for $875 shipped. I'd like some hp numbers on the intercooler. From what I saw it looked like a 14 whp gain, not to bad, but not that great either! The xky's\solstices are running 27 whp!!! that's what i'm talking about. These need to be shipped out way before Christmas too. Better equipment at the same price as the competiton will garner more buyers for your produtcs.

totally agree. and consider if u price it a lil bit less that yer competition you stand to make more sales cause u wanna save as much as possible on it.

By the way...we have a turbo upgrade of this type in development as I type. It is but one of multiple options we will offer. News soon!

It's true that the Solstice and Sky will see a larger gain from this intercooler design, for they are suffering from a considerably smaller stock intercooler. But have a close look at our performance testing, keeping in mind that max HP gain is but one measure of an intercooler's performance:

Intercooler Performance Testing

The stock intercooler's very lightweight tube/fin construction heat soaks very quickly...and it's end tanks flow very poorly.

And, of course, the more you upgrade the car, the more the heat load presented to the stock intercooler will tax its capabilities. LNF is very aggressive about taking out timing and reducing performance from high intake air temperatures.

UPDATE! Pricing and terms are now in the first post. Thanks again to everyone for the input! Feel free to add more commentary...this GB needs your support to fly

No offence but what a ******* rip off... The synapse intercooler is 400 shipped!!!! Sure it doesnt have the smoothie end tanks or another 4 inches from side to side, but come on, double the price and then we have to pay shipping? I guess you guys think that everyone on this website is halfway retarded but your not fooling me, there is no way that intercooler is worth 800$... Have fun with the GB, maybe if it comes down to a competitive price i'll join in, but until then keep living off the saying that there is one born every minute

I can't say yes or no yet, don't know if I'll have the cash for both the piping AND the IC.
