if you use fishing line, make sure you buy the plastic kind, not the metal kind

What I did was just get a hair dryer and heat up the glue, then use a plastic ice scrapper and get under the bowtie and just slowly pull upwards. Didn't get one scratch

lol, ASS... i like that. i'm currently looking for one of the older red chevy emblems that are just the outline with no center to put where my keyhole is. so the keyhole is in the center of the emblem. i also thought about painting the chevy emblem that i already took off red and putting it over the keyhole to hide the lock. i want to get the lock shaved but don't have the money yet.

whats the point of taking the chevy logo off? it just makes the keyhole stand out more. i wouldnt take it off unless i was having the keyhole shaved. and forget it with that crap you stick onto the keyhole to "hide" it. then it looks like your car has an outtie bellie button.

I read through this thing and decided to use dental floss. First I wrapped it around the badge from my dealership and that thing popped right off. I couldn't figure why it was so hard for you guys. Then...I got to the bowtie. After 3 failed attempts, I finally gripped my fingers under the bowtie and yanked it off. A little gas & an ice scraper took off the glue and left it looking like it never had a bowtie

I like Co-Yellow-Balts Idea- I may do something like that but put the L S under the keyhole

yeah it took me about 10 - 20 mins with a blow dryer, plastic putty spatula (sp.?), and some goo-gone. oh and wax the spots afterwards to cover any type of scratches which were very limited in my case, i might to the chevy emblem tomarrow.

Just a tip from me, i read this post and used a hair dryer. It SUCKED, it heated up the gooey crap and it took 30 min to get off. Later, i went to take of my COBALT letters and just used fishing line, the gooey crap lifted right off. You might want to try this. Just my

Fishing line and alot of it because it breaks so much. Have to double and triple the fishing line. Then wax, wax, wax... to get the marks off

I think I might do this this weekend. I'm not a fan of all the stuff on the back. I will probably leave the side badges though.
