Yea... And it does not fit anything of mine and no one complained of a lost key from the... 3 passengers that rode in the back. Lol...

Weird...

I'm pretty sure the more weight you remove the more violent wheel hop can become. So removing too much weight can be a downfall on your drivetrain. i would only remove the subwoofer and spare/jack. unless you have all the motor mount inserts and tranny inserts. than wheel hop will be minimal if any.

I did not have any real issues as far as launching with wheel-hop, or any more. Just a little bit, and that happens with the weight in anyway. My TD does a pretty decent job

Shoulda unbolted the rear deck, taken out the rocker panels(clip on) trim, hell even the dash. that is only about 10 minutes of work, then you could take out the rear center seatbelt and the b/c pillar trim... ect.

Oh it does, thanks again. There are other weight reductions that I want to find out about. For example, stock exhaust vs GMPP or any other lighter exhaust, Stock Exhaust manifold vs CA shorty header or any other lighter header. I can weigh the stock exhaust and manifold because I have those off the car. I should have weighed them before I put them on the car. Im guessing ~10lbs lighter for the exhaust and ~7lbs lighter for the manifold.

I guarantee that key is from a GM employee. People lose a lot of strange **** when building cars.

i know this is an old post, but since the thread was revived anyway, i thought i would point out that the GMPP exhaust will be heavier than the old one. Muffler style is heavier, wider piping is heavier, and especially if you have a chrome tip..even heavier

gasoline is about 6lbs per gallon...half a tank is like 6 gallons....so 30-35 lbs...but that weight is down low so it wont effect hard cornering like 30-35 lbs of seats or plastic would up higher...
