THis gives me ideas for dome lights....one at the top of each A-pillar trim....and one in each side for the back seat...white ones for dome lights....tiny and nearly invisible....but brighter than the dickens....*hamster wheel churning*

gotta be a way to hook them up to the switches in the mirror so that the mirror switch coudl turn on each side independently, but all come on with door opening...RESEARCH!!!

If you really want to do the wiring for it, you could tie them into your dome light (Map lights for sunroof equipped Cobalts/G5's) and then your LEDs will correspond with your interior lighting.

thats what I did, only problem there is always a LITTLE current flowing in the map light sockets.. so even when your car is off, your LEDs are still a little bit lit...

Relays are not that large... you should be able to find a spot somewhere for it.

yeah, its really quite easy, if it was complicated i would take pics for you but it is way to easy to waste time taking apart my handle bezel again

In the door lock button harness; you just slide the LED's wires in with the power/ground wires of that harness

for the people that want the option to have leds on when they want you could use this

i used it one my first car when i did leds. its not the greatest but you hook it up to your battery, it shows only 4 channels but you can hook 2+ per channel, depending on how big and power consuming the led is.

i got it at pepboys, but here is a link to info http://www.autobarn.net/plsw16.html

Does anyone know where I can join into that grey wire inside the cabin, or someother wire so that I can also have my LEDs on the inside of the car come on when my door handles do???

Thanks,

lmao I made this diagram in 2 seconds I'm new to electrical stuff trying to learn and this seems like I can do it. Would this wiring be correct to run through a switch? :P
Or if I wired it the way in the How-To, when do they turn on?

This is a good how to because it shows how to quickly and simply do it. Nice job.
Yeah i had to use a switch when I did the Blue LED strips under my dash on both sides. Was a PAIN to figure out lol. took about an hour or hour and a half
