2.4 LE5 Engine: How To: Beck’s 2.4L Supercharged Build Walkthrough
You already need hptuners to tune the engine and It will do the tcm as well, so nothing? Right? My warranty needs to run out before I do this and as I either drive the company vehicle or the Jeep these days that will be another 4 years........
i got all my parts but i dont got the money so im sellin my kit.. its tearin m up like crazy but i dont know how to install the kit and i dont got the money to pay for install so the kit and clutch is selling.. then ill use the money for a down payment and trade in my balt for the turbo balt..
ok sorry for not reading the whole thread but im wondering this,
since this was the 2.4, what was the different things u needed that the 2.2's dont need.
being a 2.2, if i used the stock pulley, would i still need to get the stage 2 belt and cut off 1 rib of it?? or could i just use the regualar belt with the supercharger??

The issue with the stock s/c belt is that it has 5 ribs and the pully on the 2.4's only support 4. If the 2.2 has a 5 ribbed belt to begin with, you wouldnt have to cut the belt. most likely you'd be able to use the stock ss/sc belt if you were able to pick up an idler pulley/assembly from a ss/sc

the main differences would be the belt routing. everything else is pretty much the same. the ecotecs have a lot in common
i paiod almost close 2 2500 for all the parts and i got discounts and ****. and a cheap but effective S/C. then i sold all the parts and sccoped up a new SS turbocharged..
that is good numbers but I don't know if it's an advantage to go SC but look with 2500$ and discounts you get 220-230 WHP but with the hahn racecraft TK you can get 255 to 265 WHP maybe more and it's 3500$ I think. If you were me, will you buy Hanh TK or go SC?
thats probably with a stock pulley now with a stg 2 pulley ur looking at 240-250 whp range
Honestly if i were looking to boost i'd look at hahns 20g turbo kits they have. Get the one with everything but tuning and injectors and have someone tune it for you. The 20g will be able support more hp then the 2.4 kit they have. Some people have complained about the hahn tune w/ the 2.4 kit hince the reason on what i suggested.
thats Y i didcthed the project. it was alot of work and too many custom parts.. that take a looong time to get.. i had everything. but sold the kit already... and now i have a bright shiny Sport tint red Turbo cobalt waiting for me when i get back
