LED Resistor Calculator

 

Ok.. I tried this ..

But everytime I try to plug the Hvac. I see it flash on and then they turn off and dont come back on..

I went back and changed all the bulbs again and same thing happened.

Anyone know what Im doing wrong?

I was wondering what size bulbs you guys used? 3mm 5mm or 10mm I am going to try this, I like the results, it seems like a nice little project that wouldn't take to long. Thanks and very well done.

how do you get the yellow part off?


and to get the original light off do you just heat up the solder until it melts and pull the light off?


i want to do every light in my dash, steering wheel, and doors red. is there a way i could keep the cold part of the heat blue?

yea just solder that off and i think you can just take off that yellow thing

 

yea they "break" off real easy. They aren't hard to take off

I just used a red sharpie and colored the bulbs im a cheap ass i know

 

I dont get the whole "cheap" that keeps getting brought up I paid 27 dollars to do my cluster, heater, steering wheel, window switches, lock switches, and mirror control switch. If that isn't a "cheap" mod idk what is then.

ya i cost me $0 and les then a hour of labor.If i had money I would do leds(actually plan to) but for now this works

 

Ok understandable but why do it twice you know? If you need any help drop me a PM I've done several of these swaps now and have not had one problem with gauge recalibration or anything else. I can also change some of the face colors with out changing out for a different color LED to an extent. Last night I made a cluster with blue primary leds and then the KM/H to a green and the inner tach sweep green along with the fuel gauge symbol green with the empty and tach redlines still red.

 

Because it gives me something to do

 

Another one I did saturday that I acutaully have pictures of

 

Dam son.The more and more I look at the pix the more I want to do it.you have part numbers or specs of the LED I need to do this?

 

I would have to research agian I still have my stock pile from last year when I did mine.
