Appearance: How To: Change interior to LED. *UPDATED INFO*
so i changed my HVAC board to white LEDs and it looks great when i powered it on

but when i went to put the faceplate back on, i get this ugly thing

so i took a look at the back of the faceplate and noticed a blue film/tint on most of the ares that light shines through

so im just wondering what the easiest way would be to take off this film? other people here that have posted pics of pure white or pure red HVAC controls, what did you do? most people change to blue leds so it doesnt matter for them but it does for any other colour it seems. im thinking of grinding/sanding it off or perhaps a chemical removal perhaps acetone might work?

you cant remove the blue tint. i tried with acetone and it started to remove the black paint of the hvac itself. it seems they painted the hvac from the back of the plate and then put the blue tint on top. unfortunately cant be done with white leds
guys i soldered the led bulbs into the hvac, they ;light up fine in the house, when i put the hvac back into the car and put the lights on nothing happens, everything else works the ac all that the knobs fine but no light, any ideas?\
