I only have that problem on uneven pavement for some reason...it's kind of hilarious but then you just short shift into 2nd and it's not a problem at all. Great mod for little scratch...+1

Sorry to bring up a dying thread....but I have some issues.

I just installed the LS4 TB and keep throwing codes: P1516, P0507, P2119. I can't figure it out. I've tried to adjust some of the tables but it doesn't help. I know a couple of you said you had a problem...what did you guys do to fix it? I'm thinking about putting the stocker back on...I can't drive the balt when it keeps going into limp mode!

Mine threw a couple codes before my scalar values were adjusted in the tune... Did you adjust them?

Also what codes are those?, I don't feel like searching...

I have the idle set to 850 but it's idling at 1000. The car also goes into wild convolsions then into limp mode.

P0507 Idle Speed High ECM, PCM

P1516 Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance- ECM, PCM

P2119 Throttle Closed Position Performance ECM, PCM

Ohh wow, yea those ones are new to me... But I would def set your idle a little higher than 850 anyways. The one code I got was something about "Throttle Body ECM Performance" and it was not a big deal so my tuner just disabled the CEL.

Sorry I don't know any more than that... Good luck with getting it fixed... You might want to throw the stocker back on for right. The LS4 TB makes driving the car a PITA anyways, ultra touchy...

Its taken me a long ass time. Using a dremel with aluminum grinding bit

its not something your supposed to do. euthanasia has done side by side tests and the m62 loses power if you open the throat instead of running an adapter plate. but if its what your going to do then use a more aggresive bit to remove the bulk of the material then use progressively lesser bits to polish it up.

A grinding bit will take forever, the aluminum loads it up and really slows the process. Get a single-cut carbide cutter for porting type use and you can do it in no time. Just go over it with some sandpaper by hand after to smooth it back out and it will work just fine.

Still a grinder. Look for something more like this
Dremel 1/8" Carbide Cutter at Menards

I'd suggest getting a full-size bit and a die grinder, those little bits take forever and dremels suck a big fat hairy one. Air tools FTW.

Sorry if someone already asked (i doubt) but for my 2.4 would the LSJ or LS4 be better?? and if i did this would determine which type of intake i would be able to put on, plus would have to get a tuning adjustment?? :/
